"Bump" means to repost in the thread to make it come up to the top of the list again, to bring it to everyone's attention.

I have wanted to get the NZX updates with 2 versions of Money - 2004 the latest. I had some dialogue with MS (Oz, I think) without success). It would be very useful to have. Has anyone had any luck/

My copy of Quicken version 7.5 will do stock updates, although I would have to resubscribe to this service and it a version thats now probably 4 years old.
All that was required was to put in the ticker symbols E.G. (CEN) Contact Energy, (GPG) Guiness Peat Group, (NPT) National Property Trust

Then connect to the web and do a web update, voila updated high, low and volumes + the latest exchange rates.

If Money can't do it then why not buy the BETTER program...... Quicken, two versions Personal $99 and Personal Plus $139

Actually that is a good question Don. Perhaps you should do a search or ask on http://www.sharetrader.co.nz/default.asp. Lots of people there use software for watching shares.

Don,

I have a legit version of quicken for 98 sitting here not installed on anything.

I will only use it as a coaster, you can have it for the postage.

Came with a legit formatted IBM unit.

looks like it may never have been out of the jacket.

Thanks, nice offer, but I've only got a few NZ stocks so I'll see if I can get anywhare with MS, or box on with Money meantime.

Don. I am using Money 2004 and have been unable to find a service which will allow me to do live updates. The facility built into Money is set up to use an American service through MSN (Bloombergs?) and will not automatically find an equivalent NZ service.

I update prices manually, using Stockwatch, which is found as part of the NZ Herald site. This site enables me to build a parallel portfolio to Money, but I have to copy over the stock prices manually to the Money portfolio. Stockwatch offers no automatic function. You will be able to do the same thing with Money99. Stockwatch is actually a very good service and well worth your investigation, as it offers good news and editing and graphing programs.

If anyone knows of a better way to update stock prices I would love to hear about it.

Cheers
Richard
