Umm is offline files or fast user switching enabled on your PC NZHawk??

The help file for briefcase (do a search for brief) says something to do with Briefcase and Offline Files. I wonder if Offline Files is enabled, Briefcase doesnt appear??

Hi Folks. To get "My Briefcase" in windows xp.
Click Start, click Run, type in syncapp and click OK.
An icon should appear on your desktop that says "My Briefcase".
Double click it and you will get the instructions on how to use, etc.

I understood that one can use it between say, home and office. At least I did some time back. These are not networked computers. I am sure I remember correctly !!

Hi Beetle
>What is this function do or for?
Go to My Computer, Help, Help and Support Centre, Index and type in Briefcase.
The fool thing will possibly tell you that Briefcase does not exist, but at the same time will show a list of Briefcase type entries in its index. Double click on Overview for the story....... Scouse.
