Here's a tip that some MS Access users might find helpful.
I had a problem for a long time trying to run MS Access 2000 wizards and continously getting a dialogue box saying 'ActiveX Component can't be created.' I searched the web for an answer to this annoying problem and kept coming across very technical answers. I am not a programmer or am willing to touch anything like the registry so thought this will be helpful to anyone who's in the same position as me.

The solution can be found by following these few simple steps:

1. Click to the following microsoft site
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q239/1/14.ASP

2. The title of this page should read
ACC2000: Updated Version of Microsoft Jet 4.0 Available in Download Center

3. Scroll down until you reach the following link
jet40sp4.exe and click on it

4. You will be asked what you would like to do with the file.
Choose Save to Disk and save into a folder in your computer (I have a Download folder where I download all my internet programs etc). Windows Help has instructions about how to create a folder.

5. Once the download is completed you can INSTALL the Microsoft Jet 4.0 straight away. What's great about this program is that it puts all the things you need (like dao360.dll, which is what the Wizard needed) in all the right places without you having to fiddle about.

6. Try the wizard when you start Access 2000 again. I did and finally it worked!!!!!
