Hey, sorry to post 2 threads in a row, but here we go.

Here's what I have been thinking. We have MP3 players with a gig of flash storage available for $190. And digital cameras with screens, that can play video files they record for $150.

Why not combine some of this technology, into something like an MP3 player, but with a screen and plays videos?

My prototype is:

Of course, it is merely a simple paint drawing and doesn't have buttons, but yeah. I want one.

How much do they go for? Wholesale and retail prices that is.

And where are they sold?

Because I know at least 10 people who would buy one if I could sell them.

Cheers

A few months ago I was looking for MP3 players that supported the Ogg Vorbis format, and I did find, as a top end model, a portable video player. I can't remember what company made them though...

Sounds a bit like advertising to me.

Minus the invention part :D

About 20 years ago I dreamed up the idea that in the future all music would come on little solid chips, and moving parts in a stereo would be obsolete. I mentioned this to my brother a few years ago when mp3's and memory chips became a reality. But he blew my bubble when he said the technology predated my idea by about 20 years! LOL

I think that is quite possible. However, I personally wouldn't be interested. Space is just a black place, come to my house and i can lock ya in the cupboard with glittering things around ... and little LEDs too :) But I would not be suprised at all if that was the case.

Remember, to go into space, you got to have good eyes, etc. and good teeth!... (not me :(, too much lollies and junkfood)

Already a reality - pretty sure there was an article in the Herald the other day about a new ipod that will play video...

I dream for a car you never have to put fuel in and a lawn that never needs mowing
