This is probably a self explanatory query but I'm going to ask anyway.

I have a Nokia M1122 ADSL modem/router (max speed is 10Mbps) this is connected via a crossover cable to a SOHO 8 port switch (max speed is (100Mbps)

There are 3 PC's connected to the network. Now I was thinking that the Nokia would create a bottleneck in the data rate as it is slower than the speed of the switch.

So theoretically if I got an ADSL modem which supported 100Mbps this would make data transfer from the net a bit faster. Currently on the 256K/128 Jetream Surf plan.

Your comments and thoughts appreciated.

cheers

Nope.

High Speed Ethernet = 100M
Low Speed Ethernet = 10M (Nokia M1122)
High Speed DSL = 1M if you're lucky.

I think you would need an internet connection of around 9-10MBps for any bottle neck to be created by the M1122 IMO...
