I'm told by a mate who has the memory of a goldfish, that a New Zealand company is running a site for purchasing MP3's in a similar vein to that of the iTunes, and Media Player shops...... Is this true, and if so, can someone please tell us what the address is!!!!!??????

Thanks heaps :D

Just noticed that it is advertised on the back of a bus in this fine city.

Another website for music downloads is www.amplifier.co.nz.
I have never really tried it out though. I'm still ripping my 1000 or so cds to my hard drive and rediscovering lots of old tunes :-)

Sorry, forgot to format the url
http://amplifier.co.nz
These guys have been around for a few years now and I was a little suprised that TV3 made a big song and dance about the new boys on the block. It's not what you know it's who you know eh!

The item was probably written by some cub reporter who was copying it from a press release. There is bugger all investigative journalism in NZ and too many lazy journalists who will not research anything

Perhaps because it would require a modicum of understanding first?
But I would be prepared to bet they have an impressive sheaf of diplomas to make up for an apparent intellect deficiency. Who said we don't help the handicapped?

I looks damn good until you get to the checkout and it tells you that it won't let you download anything unless you're using a Windows based system.

Amplifier.co.nz looks good too, but I don't want to limit myself to New Zealand music. Are there any other services like this out there? If not, I've no doubt that others will pop up in the not too distant future.

Come on, Apple! The iTunes music store is well overdue down here.
