View Full Version : Off Topic - Anyone Upgraded from Photoshop Elements 2 to 3

I am currently using Elements 2 and wondered whether anyone had splashed out on the new Elements 3. If so, are the additional features worth it? Has anyone purchased the product on-line from a NZ web site? If so what was the site?

I am a bit peeved that Adobe have been giving cash back offers for people buying Elements 3 in the USA. So far I have had no e-mail from Adobe to even say that Elements 3 has been released and I have registered

Top new features in Elements 3

Brush away flaws -- You can do this in version 2

Send themed photo e-mail --- girlie stuff

Enjoy flexible print options --- A little improvement here

Get high quality with camera raw and 16-bit support -- If you cam outputs in raw format

Pick your best shot -- Nice but hardly earthshattering

Archive photos for safekeeping---- If you couldn't do this before you don't deserve to use a comp

Instantly fix common flaws ---- Then go back and do them yourself because it buggered it up.

See the full color range --- whoot ! Not

Nothing exciting or innovative that would want to make me upgrade to version 3

I know they seem to be upgrading faster than it takes to learn how to use the first version. phew!

Thanks for your input.
I think I will save the money and buy the book 'The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 2' by Richard Lynch instead.
