Does anyone know how to set a 'liteon LDW-85is' to be region free? It has not been used to play a DVD yet so is still a 'virgin' I run XP pro. TIA

Go here http://www.rpc1.org

And do a search for your burner. This is a flash update site.

There is a region free DVD player, BUT you have to pay for it, to make use of it.

This (http://dhc014.rpc1.org/LtnRPC/) is what you want.

Also note that while your DVD drive will be region-free, you will also need to make the software that you use to play DVD's region-free.

DVD Genie (http://www.inmatrix.com/files/dvdgenie_download.shtml) is the most popular I think.
