View Full Version : Windows File

I have partitioned my two HDD into four partitions; 'C' - Programs, 'D' - Swap File, 'E' - Data file, and 'H' - General Backup.

On my 'C' (13Gb) drive, along with a number of small files and programs files, resides the WINDOWS folder which is a massive 6.9Gb compared with my PROGRAMS folder of 3.1Gb. I note that there are a number of folders, e.g. 'ZipTmp0k.110' which add up to about 3.8Gb. What would happen if I was to delete these, as the space taken up by WINDOWS seems to be excessive?

You could run Cleanup which deletes a lot of flotsam and jetsam. Also check the FAQ's for a guide on clearing unnecessary files.

I have Fast Cleaner but it didn't pick these files up and I don't know if they can be deleted without causing problems. What are they for?
