Does anyone know of software that will enable me to access my office computer from my home machine via the internet.
Most products advertised require expensive registration and monthly connection fees in US $ - am hoping there is a less expensive way
Thanks!

Hmm well you could have used Microsoft's remote desktop connection software, if one was XP Pro. The 98 PC would have been able to login to the other.

Other than that, nope, I cant think of any program, that'll let u do this, without paying for it.

There was a thread here about other free software that can do this. I can't find the thread but I also thought it was mentioned in the PC World mag within the last couple of months. I manage three networks remotely all by XP's Remote Desktop. The other thing to consider is how are your two PC's connected to the net, dialup or broadband - static IP or not, router? If I find the software I am thinking of I will post again.

RealVNC (http://www.realvnc.com/)
Free, works with dialup and Win 98

There should be plenty of ugly old pc anywhere lying around now.

It was originally speced for 98, should be free or nearly as its pratically obsolete.
