If you make a shortcut to a hard drive other than C: How do make explorer open with the folder tree panel showing.

In my D: drive shortcut's Properties I have:

C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /n,/e,D:\Documents

which makes it open at the Documents folder. Just change the path to what you want.

The Start In line should have:

%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%

That is for Windows XP, if you have a different version of Windows it may be a little different.

Thanks Susan, Thats great. I already had something similar for the C: shortcut. Never thought to try that on my F:
