It's time for (Belated) September "Show off your Desktop" :)

It's simple to do. You can take a screenshot and upload it to imagef1 (http://sal.netburn.net/imagef1)/ Don't know how? See the screenshot (http://pressf1.pcworld.co.nz/thread.jsp?forum=1&thread=50619&message=305610) faq.

After you've uploaded it, you'll be given a link to it. Post the link here for everyone to gaze at and drool over ;). If you want, you can tell about any fancy websites you got your cool pic from, any programs (IE docks) you use, and some basic computer specs.

Here's mine (http://sal.neoburn.net/imagef1/files/september.jpg).

Picture: Something from deviantart (http://www.deviantart.com).
Dock: Used to be Aquadock, but found it to be very buggy. Now I use Objectdock (http://www.objectdock.com).
Über skinning program: StyleXP (http://www.tgtsoft.com).
Computer: Windows XP home w/ Service Pack II, Celeron 1.2ghz, 348mb RAM, 32mb Intel "Extreme" graphics, 40gb HD, 52x CD-ROM

Have fun :)

Well here is mine, it seems a little dark. You can see yours truly and my daughter many years ago, she is now 32 years old. The desktop picture is "Beach to be", I constructed it one day on one of the courses I did. My computer is very old but works very well. 40gig HD dual boot 98SE and 52x32x52CDR/W, 2meg video card "shame"

Here is a tribute to the model, I don't have the very best CPU with the largest L2 cache but I live in hope of getting it one day and also 256meg of RAM, I have 128meg at the moment and that cost a small fortune:

I know everything that is on it, what you are seeing are the footprints of a connoisseur.

Couldn't resist that.

Hi Megaman,
Your screen looks great. Was it your Style XP skinner that let you change the taskbar colour to go with the desktop?

I've got Florescent [?sp] Toadstools on my desktop. One of the posters displayed it on an original OT. My Calenz calender/diary program is a transparent blue to match my desktop, and if I could get the taskbar to match it would look really great.

regards, Marg.

You mean:
This Pic (http://www.dimension.net.nz/old/personal/Wallpapers/fluorescence6.jpg)?
You mean the Background named Most Common Linux Users Desktop Wallpaper (I dont have the URL where I found that, dont ask).

Ive got more wallpapers here:

Actually no. It's the "Coughdrop" theme (Cherry style), and as I didn't like the background that came with it do i paid deviantart a visit :)

I have that picture as well. I think I got it off a PC World CD quite a while ago.

Here's (http://sal.neoburn.net/imagef1/files/lstutorial-220904.jpg) my current setup.

Three S' go along with it: small, simple, and sometimes stable. ;)

It's a theme based on a tutorial for LiteStep theming (though quite different from the end result the tutorial would give you). At some point I hope to have it looking exactly like the shell provided by explorer.exe, but that could be a distant future...

Hi Chill
Yes that's the one. Love it!

>>You mean the Background named Most Common Linux Users Desktop
>>Wallpaper (I dont have the URL where I found that, dont ask).

Shock! Horror! Where's Murray? God Chill, you better hide!
You used the word 'common' for linux users :O

Am pleased though to note that Linux users have the same exemplary taste as ALL Windows Users have. As we were around first I guess we have passed it on to you. :^O

You have a great collection of pics there. I've got 4. Time to pay a visit to Digital Blasphemy again. Prefer deep coloured, minimalist pics on my desktop as screen on my notebook is only 14", although pictures do come up very sharp on it.

regards, Marg.

This is my screenshot. Have left my Calenz calendar cum diary on the desktop to show how everything is blue and white and matches in. [normally it fades away and the icon sits in the bottom right corner of the task bar.]

See Here (http://sal.neoburn.net/imagef1/files/Mgs_Screen2.jpg)

This is why I was interested in finding out how Megaman was able to change the colour of his taskbar so it all matched.

To avoid to many s/cuts on the desktop, I keep them in the Quick Launch part of the task bar.
