There have been several small updates to the free AVG in the last few days
Best update it again anyway just in case.

I have AVG 6.0 - I have had a look at their website and it looks like there are heaps of updates, not sure which ones I need.

Just double click on the AVG icon in your tasktray by the clock, choose the Update Manager tab and Update Now. AVG will then update itself.

Just update the whole programme by downloading a fresh copy, get off the net, uninstall the old and install the new, hop on the net and grabe the latest virus database files before you do anything else.

I have a a sneaking suspiciion that XP may still accuse it of being out of date, you'll have peace of mind anyway that your are.

It says that all my updates are up to date and I have version 6.0
do you think I should remove avg from control panel and then install it again from their website?

Starfish,

Part of the idea is to get you to use products from Windows partners (those who toe the windows line, and say how high when bill says jump)and approved developers.
