Some of you may have noticed I have been quieter than my usual quiet self and thats the reason why.

The Wife gave me a pretty good fathers day present in the form of an 8.5 pound girl. This will be daughter no 3 and then 4th child in the family. Sadly this will mean buying a people mover also as the trusty little hatchback will not fit 6........bugger it all there goes what tiny shreds of image I had left.

Congrats buddy .. :)
People moovers aren't so bad , you could always get one for the wife / kids , and maybe a dedicated 2 seater [ MX5 leaps to mind] for yourself ...
geez I hope the Missus doesn't see that ..
And well done !!! :)

NO! Resist! Take two cars everywhere. The less of those people movers on the road the better...

Don't even get me started on 4WD vehicles.

I'll get you started WTF. What's a people mover and what's wrong with 4WDs?

Nothing wrong with 4wd's,Stupidity will cause death no matter what they drive.

Unless your anti because they are trendy,in which case i would suggest dedicating a second of thought to trends is a waste of brainpower.

A people mover is something like this (http://www.tozaitrading.com/Emina.jpg)

I'm so not going to be drawn out on the 4WD thing.

Stupidity needs to cause a little more death to restore some balance.

It's not actually the vehicles I have the problem with, nor the trend, but the lack of driving ability and apalling road attitude of the majority of the people (read: housewives and yuppies) driving them. If you are going to drive a big vehicle, and they are big vehicles, you should be capable of driving it safely.

So ends my participation in this thread.

Congrats on the new addition to the family.

Katy Jean is her name......the baby not the car.

I'm looking at a honda oddysey for a car. Will fit all 6 of us including a car seat and the booster seat for the 5 year old.

Congratulations Dipstick and the picture is great. Please pass on our best wishes to your wife, who has had to do all the real work.

Incidentally, did you get a chance at the nitrious oxide? Chaps really need it when we're in the birthing suite. :D

Thanks for all the congrats guys. Bubs is doing well, she seems a little slow on picking up what I show her on the puter....all she wants to do is learn how to shove her hands in her mouth it seems.
Oh well I'll keep teaching my 4 year old for now. lol he fixed the pc at kindergarten the other day....the teachers couldnt get it going etc and in walks my boy...hits ctrl alt del and shuts down a few programs and hey presto the pc is running again. Not bad for 4 me thinks.
