View Full Version : Windows Media Player - Gee it's not a race :-(

Some of the MPG files I have when played in Windows Media Player- version 9 run in a very fast forward and only the 1st 40 seconds or so of the movie is played before the slide bar reaches the end. If I stop it and click at any point the movie will jump to that point but then I can only play the next few seconds before it hits the end of the slide bar again.

I guess it is a Codec issue, but how do I find the correct codecs to play the movies correctly?

Most play properly but some are having issues

Win XP Pro
512Mb

I did download GSPOT as mentioned in a previous thread but this appears only to be for AVI's?
It said the pc has something like 40 video and 28 audio codecs currently loaded.

V10 final is out. That may fix it

"Sounds" like a problem I had which was fixed by UNinstall (I think) and fresh download/install
