Who wants a Gmail account? First come first served - msg me stuff at zu.co.nz

Spent so much time reading/thinking about everyone else's strange/foreign GMail, never thought about whether I personally could use one of these.
Seen the other offers come & go with no wishlist of my own.
Now I start to wonder - maybe I should want this myself? Or maybe that's rubbish, because I'd never use it adequately.
So now that the initial rush to grab these has died down, (daytime at least), what about giving one to me?
Or would it be a waste of something better given to AN OTHER?
I await the expert opinion about the purpose of these experimental things from the provider's point of view...like who they want opinions from - experts or newbies?.

Now that I've been using this account a bit my only gripes about Gmail is... how awkward it is to delete a message. Open a message, and there's no button to permanently kill it - best I could find was an "archive" button?????

I expect it's a setup to ensure that Google's bots form an outline based on all your old stuff so that they can ideally tailor ads to you.

And you can't use middle-click or right-click to open the message in a new window (Netscape 7)

Click the box next to the message then in the drop down box select Move to Trash, you can leave them in the trash or delete them for good.
