Got a collection of collectable items that I want to dispose of-anybody got any good tips on best way to auction these off online? e.g. best site to do it at, best way to ship items, best way to get payment etc etc etc-anything appreciated. Donít just tell me to go to Trademe-if anybodyís had any good outcomes with other sites, please tell me

It depends a lot on how "collectible" the items are. There are specialist "real world"auctioneers. Their commissions are a bit higher than trademe's (their overheads are higher). Auctions have been going on for a few centuries more than Internet ones.:D

Have a look at the overseas internet auctions ... Matchbox toys are certainly potentially very valuable (expecially they have the original boxes, and haven't been played with :D).

But have a bit of a talk to a "real" auctioneer. The "fine arts" ones often hold themed auctions to concentrate the buyers. Don't be confined to your own town ... if you can email photographs you can communicate with them.

There's a federation or association which will let you know who they are ... a librarian will help you if Google can't. ;-)
