View Full Version : Grrrr SP2

I downloaded this yesterday and it has caused chaos on my computer. My mail server works but comes up with errors every 2 minutes, my printer wont work and IE takes ages to load. Anyone else having difficulties? All software on my late model comp is legit!

Any suggestions on how to get my USB printer to work?

No probs here with SP2. What is the USB printer? 1.1. or 2??

Doesnt it work at all now??

What error does the mail server bring up??

Try defragging the system. And gettting rid of all temp files/ a disk cleanup.

Nice advice lol, of course I did all that, and a bunch of research on the net as well! I use Eudora and it comes up with an error that a "foriegn" host closed the server-I have virus checked etc so can only assume the host is SP2 add ons-I turnd the XP firewall off and still no luck. I am using Opera to solve the slow start up of IE and all I want to do is solve the printer issue the printer is a Canon MP190 and is USB 2

I suspect that the SP2 favours MS programs over "foreigners" and is making it difficult for those people who are running other browsers and email programs. I wonder how the pirates are doing?
And why, if people hate MS so much, are they still persisting with windows? Why haven't they migrated to The Golden Arches.

well I found a solution it seems and if others have a Canon MP180 or similar printer it would explain any issues you are having with SP2
The reason why people persist with microsoft is because everyone uses it, it is user friendly (most of the time) and for people who dont have computer know how it is conveniant.

>I wonder how the pirates are doing?

They aren't affected at all.

Charmed I am sure.
I refer you to the other thread on spelling.

God forgive me for making some typos. Apologies as I couldn't use IE which has a built in spell checker-although I am struggling to understand why my spelling has anything to do with getting technical help?

Just kidding, None of us are immune to the occasional typo.

oh okay fair enough

>>I wonder how the pirates are doing?

>They aren't affected at all.

Infact they will probally be responsible for sorting out all the issues with SP2

Your spelling has nothing to do with technical help, i would apologies for the spelling referees who seem to be having a bit of an uprising of late.

There are many here who are prepared to help with out displaying analness.
