How big is your data file? (Right click on "Personal Folders", click "Properties", and click on "Folder Size") The bigger the data file, the slower it'll be. Mine is currently around 60mb and runs quite well - I don't notice any performance issues when it is running compared to when it is not.

Do you know how they disappeared? Have you run autoarchive, or created a new data file or have you just installed it replacing something previously?

Mike.
