I don't use Win all that much lately, but when I do it is a nuisance to have the quick-launch feature disabled at start -up. Does anyone know a simple cure? I don't know why it started resetting at each boot, but doubtless due to finger trouble. (I must get boxing gloves for all the demons 'round here).
TIA,

Have you tried right-clicking the taskbar, select properties, and make sure "Show Quick Launch" is ticked.

Hi TJR,

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.
Here are a few tweaks you can try. mostly for xp.

Many thanks johnboy. Next time I'm in windows, I will try them out and see if the beast will behave.
