CREATING A 2ND PRIMARY PARTITON TO RUN 2 O.S?s
USING PQ PARTITION MAGIC

I have a 3.2Gb HD running win 95B os. PM wizard has divided this into about 2/3 old and 1/3 new. The old is about 2/3 used and the new ( surprisingly) has 12mb of used space which I expected to be empty. However, PM?s finished window showed the active part to be the former ?C: (No Name)? and the new primary as ?Win98? (the label I designated) It was hidden.
When activated, this new partit. takes over the C drive as its letter,. hiding the old and removing its letter. So my CD and external backup drive letters do not change. Fine so far!
The problem seems to be the programs inability to retain the new partition active to allow me to install win 98 during its auto reboot. It wants to stay with ?C: (No Name)? whether I activate the new partit. in PM?s window or in BootM?s DOS window.
Why/what is tripping the switch? <edm@clear.net.nz>
