Hmm, I wouldnt normally be interested, but that invite might be appreciated actually.
I have a friend who has been laboring under a hotmail account for ages & this might encourage her to change :-)

If not available. Im sure I'll live :-)

I have an account - I got it a while back - but I dunno where my invites are meant to be if I get them!

If you go to compose, they are normally on the left hand side towards the bottom of your screen.

Apologies to sy for not sending you your invite yet - my IE won't log me into gmail (after I log in, the taskbar says "done" but all i get eventually is a blank white screen) & mozilla seems to be blocking the invite pop-up. I have enabled pop-ups for the gmail site on both IE & Mozilla but still no joy. Disabled ZA Pro temporarily and still no joy with IE or Mozilla.

A couple of things have changed lately - installed SP2 for XP Pro plus the new adaware SE since I did my previous invites. SP2 has the new which is now working ok with ZA. If anyone could help me solve this minor problem (with the Mozilla pop-ups not appearing or the IE showing as done with a blank screen) I will send them an invite plus one to sy (as promised).

Apologies to everyone else - there are only so many invites & I only have 2 left.

Do any of the people in this thread that have received invites have any spare? Between us all we could have the entire PF1 board on GMail and still have plenty spare.

Sorry guys I cant see if I have any available, popups turned off, and tried both browsers. Don't know if I'm allowed any?

If I notice them popup I'll dish them out.

Any other receivers of an invite able to invite others?

andrew93

invitees don't get to invite more people - this is still in the beta stage so google are trying it out with its fee paying customers first

Isn't there a few issues with GMail? Such as privacy, what you write in your emails and the Google search engine?

Read about in a link posted by someone on this forum a few months back

I think the Google servers search for keywords in your email and then target text ads to you that are similar to the ones on the search pages. I don't think there is actually anyone sitting there reading your email. If you want privacy with email it really needs to be encrypted.
