I keep printed file copies of Application help, hints and tips information that I have found useful. Part of my standard page format for this information is a Callout up the top right margin of the first page displaying the topic heading vertically, eg:

"Word Help: Formatting Callouts" or "Word Help: Conditional Sums"

The callout makes finding the right info easier in a drop file or indexed ring-binder.

Is there a way of making the callout repeat on every page?

Just place it in the Header?

OK, do you mean put it in the (repeating) page header, but format the text box so it is still placed vertically @ top right margin?

Put it wherever you want it in the header. View - Header and Footer

I dropped a callout in the header to prove it, and it repeated fine.
Now you are saying its a text box?
Should not matter, you know where its wanted so format it accordingly.

Anything placed in a "header" can be anywhere on a page, not just in the upper area.

You can even send it behind or in front of text, so page content can wrap over it.

If the callout is placed in Word's Header the text entered into the callout will be repeated on every page unless the document is broken up into sections and the "Same as previous" setting disabled in each section.

Thank you very much, Godfather and Tommy - your explanations worked like a charm!
