Where does everybody have their digital photos printed? I see from a couple of earlier threads the mention of FrogPrints and Digimax.

Any advice?

You mean locally for you? or a mail order thing?

do you have any specialist photo place in town ? your town down the bottom of the land somewhere isnt it????? :D
i spose places that use brand name paper such as kodak, and fuji would or should be good ? possibly.

may be a trial and error process to find out who is best or who you like best maybe?

I hear Warehouse do this too....:p have ya looked in the phone book by any chance??

other wise ive no idea....:D

Thanks for the input Beet (or is that output in your case) :D

No problem locally, Invercargill being the vibrant place it is. I just had the impression the Jaffas were doing it hard and thought I could help out. ]:)

There was a recent Consumer article which said a lot of labs produced very ordinary results. I'm interested to see what experiences others have.

Winston001 - I have used Frogprints (my dialup is too slow, so have sent a cd), very happy with results. I prefer matt finish, and can get them from Frogprints.

I now realise I can go to Digimax, and get matt prints from them, and pick the photos up around the corner in Waikiwi at the chemist shop. I think other pharmacies are agencies as well. Their prices seem very competive.

Another place I looked at was Harvey Norman - but no matt prints, and I would have had to wait for over an hour (with my compact flash card in my hot little hand) because the machine was printing someone else's prints. Of course I could have gone back.....

Donald Buckley's are more expensive I think.

Thanks RM. Buckleys are very good for photos. I just like to know the choices.

Having been up north from here I elected to have my memory card dumped onto CD. I only wanted one pic printed at the time and the Kodak agent in Kaitia was happy to oblige.

I dumped the card once on my own at a friends' place to CD and once at Kerikeri. Mostly I just print my own from time to time.

I would not be unhappy to try another Kodak outlet though.

You can email your photos to Fuji and then have them delivered to you. Haven't tried this yet but I would imagine that they would be pretty good.

I used FrogPrints for a bulk order recently and was very impressed by their quick friendly service. The end result was great too - you wouldn't know it was a digital print.

there was an article in the tech section of the herald the other week you can probably search for it, but it was about a lady who brought everything off the net, she mentioned one place in the states and one in germany where she gets super cheap photos delivered to her doorstep at cheaper prices than frog or digiatal max.
