Try Warehouse Stationery. They've got a pretty wide range.

If you don't want to advertise that you are carrying a laptop, Kathmandu make a couple of backpacks including the Metro/Underground.

Hi,
I got mine from Able Business Machines in CHCH but think they have a firm in Auckland.
Its really roomy, padded, lots of compartments, has carry handle plus over the shouler strap plus a strap across back of it. Came with a Belkin optical mouse and a USB 4-pot Micro hub. Bit dear in price but wanted to get all my computer gear in the one place. Can fit my computer books in there as well.
I've seen lots of varieties in Warehouse stationary too.

Recently picked up a Belkin brand laptop case from Harvey Norman , they had quite a range of sizes at Wairau park , and the prices seemed alright to me , good luck

I use a Targus bag which has plenty of room and seems to be very well made, at $130. Mind you, a bag half the price may be fine. You need to take your stuff along to the shop to see what any particular bag will hold.

the best thing about the Targus bags are that they are guaranteed for life..and we all know what a hammering our laptop bags take!

sorry re delay - needed to check price - my one cost $130 , it's huge , enough room for all your stuff and a couple of premixes ... well padded , 4 different zipped compartments , shoulder strap etc , mind you the other suggested options sound kinda cool , happy shopping :)

Hi,
My belkin laptop bag I mentioned in an earlier post sounds just like KatiMike's one. It was $88 but 99$ with GST.
Also has a lifetime product warranty on it.
