Does anybody have any experience with older Compaq machines fitted with Matrox Graphic cards? This machine has an AGP "MGA -G100A-E" card fitted and I can't find any drivers for it. I've tried on the net at the Matrox home page and the Compaq site but no luck for a card of this age. Tried video-drivers.com and other driver pages but still unable to find anything that matches this card. Suggestions greatly welcome. Ta

What model PC is this? A Deskpro? Do you know the original CPU, brand and MHz rating?

I managed to find G100_G200 Matrox drivers for a Compaq Deskpro EN series PC that worked a treat. The SP number is SP9001 and I found it thru the compaq support website, here :

Yep, tried there. They only had an NT4 version, (Need Win 98), tried it anyway, but error message said "need NT4" suprise, suprise. Tried some of the others listed, but error message stated "version not compatable with current hardware" Thanks anyway.

Try this one (ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp9501-10000/sp9567.exe)

If the link from Phoenix doesn't work, try this one :

This link has a different SP number (10924), and is the AGP G100 driver for the Celeron EP Deskpro running Win 98.

This driver can only be installed from DOS mode (not a DOS window).

Hi thanks for the link, Still got an error message the software was not compatable with the card. I think though it was the way I tried to install it that may be the problem. To solve the problem, have splashed out $30 on a newer Card that came with the drivers on CD. Thanks all for your help though.
