ok... problem one...

Using analogueX's "Proxy" Program to share an internet connection...
Got the http and https going... but cant seem to get the pop or smtp going.... well not so much the smtp as i have multiple test emails sat on the mail server...

I read thru "proxy's" "read-me file" and did as it said.... as in setting my pop and smtp in my mail client to be the IP address of the proxy server... and then setting up the correct servers in the proxy program...
But still pop times-out...

trying to learn how to use outlook as i am using outlook express at the mo... but i tryed the settings in both of them...

I know this isn't a lot of info to go on.. but...

Q 2

totally differant subject...

My home network is just 5 PC's running thu a 10Base t hub...

when i go to log on to one of the 5, Where you enter the name and password... it comes up as a grayed out "name Box" with the name "CELERON500\Guest" (cant change this) Celeron500 being the name of the puter...

have tryed with "Guest" accout on and off...
also enabled and disabled simple file sharing... but no go...

I have a feeling this is a simple setting... but i have no idea...

Thanks
Falcon

On Q2:
Do you have a domain running?
Although I suspect it is more likely that there are no other users defined?
What OS is it?
