Norton AntiVirus doesn't seem to be scanning outgoing E-mails even though I have it set to scan them and to show the progress meter when it does. Symantec's web site was no help.
My question is, is E-mail being scanned and just not showing it, or is scanning not happening?

try this Send your self an email with a attachment and see if gets blocked by nortons. Have a look at these

Turn on email scanning and off
