The default linux fonts give me headaches, and i want to change them.

So importated them (friend transferred to my ftp), installed them in a folder i called /fonts , ran that font thing that comes up with fonts.dir , insatlled them in chkfontpath , and now only open office can use them. Neither netscape nor the control center can use those fonts, which is annoying because i want to use them as the default fonts.

What's going down?

If you're in KDE, You should be able to fire up control-center and add the fonts in there? I know that its all that I did?

Try this:
Hit Alt + F2 to get the Run Command Dialog box
kcontrol

Click on System Administration down the Bottom
Click on Font Installer
Click on Add Fonts
Now navigate to your mounted Windows partition and install away :-)

Chill.

Cheers mate,

Interesting that it didn't work manually...
