Hi Bethaneise
Rather than a program have you thought of putting albums on a website such as Hewlett Packard which give you a generous allocation of space.
You can edit, email very easily or invite friends to view the albums. I find it works really well. What it also means is that your friends do not have to waste lots of time waiting for the emails to arrive etc. You can also do framing and other stuff ! Best thing - it is free !! Sometimes people have worries about the site going out of business. I chose Hewlett Packard because I figure that they will be around for a few more generations. :D

PS - on the other hand in my time of watching PressF1, the program that most people prefer seems to clearly be "Irfanview". Those that are real enthusiasts use a variety of programs as they say that each one can often carry out one facet better than the rest - so they have the best of all worlds. :) :)

Hi,
Irfan view does quite a reasonable job of editing, it is free, small and fast and you can get it here. (http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html) I am not too sure about the framing, album, etc as I don't enjoy the resource hogging and ink usage.

Photoshop will do everything you desire, but, it is a bit far from free.
