I want to buy a program to help manage our finances and investments. Programs available are MS Money 2004 and Quicken in a couple of versions. Does anyone have comment about the strength and/or weaknesses of either, especially ease of use and how they tie in with on-line banking.

From memory, I think they both do. Depends on the bank, but I know some have multiple options for downloading transactions. Only trick is that you have to make sure you don't load the same transaction twice.
They do a very similar job, although I think Money integrates with Word, Excel, etc easier.

It might be helpful. There have been other threads on finance (accounting) software too. Robo is our resident expert.

I know next to nothing about accountancy but a while ago I d/l'd this program and it looks fairly comprehensive to me.

but friends of mine suggested MYOB
