Obviously they will not work at AGP 8x
They should work at AGP 4x

Provided they are actually compatable with your system.

what you really need to check is if the graphics cards are agp 8x/4x compatible which means while they r primarily 8x cards they will run in a 4x board, as far as i can remember all current boards with the exception of possibly the 9800xt and fx 5950 ultra are 8x/4x boards so you should be fine

ok thats good then. oh one more question can all graphics cards support and use direct x 9?

no there are specific graphics card that support all direct x 9 FEATURES, however all graphics cards will run on a system that has direct x 9 on it, if that makes any sense to you.

if you are looking at a radeon then anything above the 9200 is directx 9 and in nvidia the 5200 and above are direct x 9
