Seeing the thread about xandros being free on a mag cover disk, i was thinking of getting it. but i dont have a cd-writer to store data. so when i instll it, can i resize my D: drive (by about 5-6 gb) to install it with keeping teh data?

The standard edition of Xandros can only resize FAT32 partitions, so if you use NTFS the Xandros partitioning tool will not be able to do this. There is always a risk of losing data when using non-destructive partitioning.
