Hello all.
In response on an earlier posting I made about how to remotely find your machine's IP address when it has changed - I have since found several programs that do exactly this. They both send out your IP address to you by email whenever it has changed so you can always find your computer. Very useful for remote desktop / file transfers for example. I'm sure others would find this helpful too so I have included the hyperlinks here.

The first is IP Mailer 2004. Easy to setup and works a treat.

The second is GMIP (Get my IP address). This also has the additional options of alerting by MSN Messenger and SMS. A 21 day trial is available.

You can also get ipscanner from www.radmin.com :-)

It'll scan your Network and tell you a lot of other things too...

Either that, or have you tried (From a command prompt):
ping computername

?

I missed the thread so sorry if Im covering stuff that's already been said.
