View Full Version : Fujitsu 40 Gb Drive

I have one of these drives MPG3409AT

The system board on the drive fried the other day I am sure the contents in the drive are OK just I cant get to it.
It contains a lot of Family Photos and stuff I would rather not lose.

If I managed to get a similar model say a 20Gb with the same system board and swapped them around would I be able to retrieve my data ?

Or does anyone know another way to recover this info...

Thanks (in advance)

You would be better to get an identical drive, then provided you have skills to make the change you might be successful. However, if the electronics fried because of a drive motor failure then professional recovery is your only option. That can cost heaps I'm afraid.
