Sometimes while i'm on the internet just chatting on msn or playing battlefield, i would get a popup that says Get Paid Opinion Surveys. It says it's by Messenger Service in the title bar. I've run Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware but both can't find anything. Has anyone else experienced this or do they know of any fix for this problem?

If you don't want to download a third party program to disable Messenger Service, this MS Knowledge Base Article gives instructions on how to do this - here (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/using/howto/communicate/stopspam.asp)

Further information on pop ups using the Messenger Service can be read here (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;330904).

I don't work in an IT related profession, I'm just another computer enthusiast :)

They told me abou this;

Some of us like to keep to the point, while others just meaninglessly yabber on an and on (i.e. Me)

If the messenger service is the one iI'm thinking about, (the one you can make popup on anyone else's computer), you can stop it from Command Prompt.

The command should be:

Net Stop

To see what you have running

Net Start

This is all good, but a major of a pain, I trust microsoft knows what to do :D
