*NB tried google but no results, will try again tonite with refined search parameters.

Thanking you in advance,

Try the google "Groups" area. There might be something in the newsgroups.

okay, if you bought the phone NEW here in NZ, then vodafone should have either had the phone pre set for "live" or any vodafone "specialist" should be able to set the phone up for you.

the above was just a real quick google search, but then if this is your phone?

http://search.vodafone.co.nz/mobiles/gen/mobile_details_nokia_6610.jsp

then vodafone can help.

The Vodafone NZ network currently supports devices using WAP up to version 1.2. The 6600 is WAP 2.0 capable only. Customers with devices that are WAP 2.0 capable only and not backward capable with earlier WAP versions are unable to connect to the Vodafone NZ WAP gateway.
To function correctly these devices require Vodafone to upgrade the WAP gateway to support the new 2.0 version. At this stage a network upgrade is scheduled for February'04 which will allow support of WAP 2.0.

So you will have to wait for WAP and PXT to work.
