Is there way in Internet Explorer 6.0 to set it so that it will shrink sites down to A4 size paper for printing. ie to stop it cutting off the right hand side of web pages

Most sites are optimised by the web designer for viewing and not for printing.

Some web designers give a "printer friendly" link for a version of the page that looks plainer but prints well.

There is no magic setting in IE, as all web pages are coded differently.

Using Landscape mode under page setup helps sometimes.

Check your page margin settings in File/Page Setup

Why not just copy and paste the text into a text editor or word processor and print from there. Or how about Save Page as... .txt

Go to File menu, Page Setup, Margins are defaulted to .75"
Reduce margins to 0" or .25" at most.
Web pages are usually set to take 100% of the screen, so margins will cut off the text at margins.
Ensure that the paper type is set. eg. "A4"

In firebird if you go to page set up thers an option to make the site"fit the page" when printing.

ie6 prolly has something similar, and no doubt your printer options does as well.
