Hey all, I am in the market for a dvd player for the home.

Wanting one on the cheap but getting the most bang for buck.
Looking to spend ~$150 and would like multizone

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Look at the DSE Mustek models.

Well under your price range, and they have everything.
Multi Zone, Macrovision defeat (with help from a websearch), play everything (.jpg, MP3, DVD, VCD, CDA....) 5.1 sound.
I know about 10 people that have these and all are happy.

I'm happy with my mustek too (although I did pay $220 for it ;-().

The first one I got had problems with skipping, but the replacement has been great.

Get the Mizuda 331K from Woolworths or Foodtown -- fantastic buy at $129.
Great audio quality, multi-zone, progressive scan and has been the subject of some great reviews.
I have one and for the price it's excellent!
Check out this review (http://www.audioenz.co.nz/2003/mizuda_331k.shtml).
