Hi there

We have just replaced the hard drive in our server. We ghosted the drive which did have problems copying one of the partitions but was still successful. Once we booted the machine we just started copying the data from that partition onto the new drive. While copying the data, the computer just suddenly reboots and then we get stuck with a boot record problem on the new hard drive and we get the NTLDR is missing. Is it possible that some data on the old hard drive is causing this problem?
Any ideas? We are using windows 2000 server.

cheers

NTLDR is the NT boot loader. You need to boot from the CD and use the Recovery Console and from there run fixboot \HardDrive0. I think that is correct but you can get help within the recovery console.
