Hi Chill,

Would you have a cd you could copy for me to try it. I will pay expenses. Yes/no/maybe.

Are you after VL4, or the SoHo version (I'd recommend Vector Linux 4)?

I haven't tried downloading over 100MB - don't like tying up the line for so long...

I think he has 56K

So Dolby Digital does have 56K, that line gives it away…

Its not 200 meg or so actually, its a complete 650-700MB ISO download.

And with Dial-Up (As I learned the hard way) things are more likely to go wrong with starting/stopping downloads etc.

Even on ADSL you can still run into trouibles!

Personally, if I knew somebody who had these CD's/ISO's when I needed them, I'd rather pay $10 for a CD and know that its from a reliable download and is burnt properly than to have to do it myself... seems not many people do that though (Some linux shops charge $60 for a 3x CD Distro... That's what makes me do it myself ;-)).

Yep, 56k is the number. I'm still waiting for ADSL to come down some more. We can't get cable as we live on the hills above Lower Hutt and Saturn never cabled the hills :(
