Whenever I send something to my printer, while the printer is working if I continue to do anything else on my PC it (the PC that is) works very slowly. I was told it was a RAM problem but have upgraded from 64 Meg to 320 Meg with no difference noticed. I'm running Windows 98SE. Anybody got any ideas? I've tried heaps without success,
Thanks

If it was a RAM problem you would notice a lot of harddisk activity occuring when the compter was running slow.

I think in you case it is related to the load the printer is placing on your processor. Cheap printers reduce cost by having you computer do most of the processing that would be normally be done by the printer. On older machines this can be quite noticable.

If you run "System Monitor", under Accessories -> System Tools in the start menu, it will show you how much of the processor is currently being used.

Post your printer model we might be able to confirm this.
