Ever get tricked by fake buttons on adverts?

Advertisers are always trying to get more people to click on their ads. An average ad will get clicked on about once in every 25 times it is displayed on a web page. However, ads that have fake scrollbars or drop-down boxes get more.

If you're ever tempted, (or fooled) just change the ghastly grey colour that is the default for 3D objects to a different tone. I use a rather bluey colour, and thus can see the difference between real drop-down boxes and fake ones that attempt to get extra clicks.

Anyway, its good to click on adverts links because it gives the person who owns the page it was displayed on money.
