I have had a cdburner fitted in my puter, Atapi CDRW, and it come with Nero 5.5.10.20 software, but it is only the express version. No, it doesn't change back to a full version. I bought this from a reputable company, and they also installed it. Is there anyway I can get the full version, or is that just extra dollars. TIA

Many burners came bundled with only the "Express" version.
Thats what you paid for I guess.

Nero 5 has ceased to be available I believe, its Nero 6 now.

Thanks Godfather, guess I should stop moaning about it then aye? LOL Guess I bought old stock, even though it is a 52x24X52.

You can still get 5.5.x from retailers at a price of course.

Nero 6 Ultra is brilliant.. more stable, uses less resource in my experience on two PCs...
and its just great!

You can still do a lot with just the Nero Express, but you're better off looking for other software (Free even online) for long-term use if you plan to do anything other than file-burning/backups IMHO!

Cheers

I just bought a CDRW about 2 weeks ago, came with Nero 5.5 full OEM version.

You can download Nero from www.nero.com, and possibly be able to get a free update.

Can anyone tell me the difference between Express and full version? If it is worth changing I will email Kiwibeat, or check my old netguide cd's cos I think there might of been a cd burner software on that.

difference between them........i'm not to sure but basicly its just a simplier easy to use interface. not sure on what features are disabled. i'm sure nero's website will say.

Had a google for Nero.com & got the Homepage. However it only refers to Version 6. Is there somewhere else?? My bought V5.5 got contaminated & I am trying to get them to allow me to Re-download a V5.5. Dont want me to do it as it is "obsolete" , I cannot buy a V6. Stalemate at the moment. I would settle for the v5.5 , it is all I need. There is always Clone CD I suppose. Poppa John

Nero 5.5 Update (http://www.nero.com/en/631933457317970.html) They don't make it obvious, best to bookmark the page. I'm not sure if this will update your express version. Do you have broadbang Supergran.

Easist way is when the program launches is to hit the Launch Wizard button and follow the steps.

Or,If not using the wizard,Click file up on the top right and choose copy cd.

No Murray, I do not have broadband, tis too expensive when you live rural, and of course, too far from the telephone exchange to make it worth while. I have tried it out here on a friends puter, and my old modem was faster.

Poppa, just start Nero, click on data, and open folders until you want the one to copy, and then just hit burn. I think that is how I do it, but I just followed directions once I opened it, and found it easy.
