Hi,I wonder if there is a dialer application out there I can install.I want to be able to start my computer and walk away while it loads xp home ed then dial up my service provider automatically,so when I return from making my cup of tea its all warmed up and ready to roll.Likely there are several attached to other progs that I may or may not have.Any thoughts or clues would be much appreciated regards Dave.

Just thinking aloud here, but you could try putting a shortcut to your web browser or email client in the Startup folder of your Start Menu and have it connect to the internet once it has loaded.

So what about when you want to use the computer and NOT connect? Or if someone is on the phone when you turn on your computer?

What if you put a shortcut to your internet connection into the Startup folder?

Then I would call in the GHOST BUSTERS,or the POLICE cos Im sadly solo.Or just turn it off I suppose. It does redial if the connection drops off.It works for me ok for the time being but thanks for your concern.
