View Full Version : Excel Varying Print Area

I want to print an area of an Excel spreadsheet that varies, i.e. the number of rows to be printed varies. The spreadsheet is an order form for school lunches that will be emailed and printed every day. Depending on the number of lunch orders, the list wil be shorter or longer. Somehow I have to find the highest row number where an entry has been made and use that reference for setting the print area, then run a macro to print.
Because this spreadsheet will be used by different schools in protected mode, it will not be possible to add or delete rows. Therefore the spreadsheet has been setup with 1,000 available empty rows. If there are only a few lunch orders, a preset print area would print out the total area, mostly just empty columns. Does anyone have any suggestions to avoid this?
Ideally I would like to use a database for this purpose, but unfortunately not everyone has this software and Excel seems the logical choice.
