The link has a space in it.
Try this (http://www.canon.co.nz/products/multifunctionals/multifunctional_colour_bubble_jet/multipassc100.html)
I have had too many bad experiences with Canon printers, so I am biased. I note it does not mention support for Windows XP.

As a choice I would go with HP over Canon solely based on the support for new operating systems, having had to trash very expensive hardware when upgrading OS.

HP have often had a delay in getting new drivers but have always come through, whereas Canon simply said "sorry, we will not support it"

if that is what u think hp is better..
do u reckon u can find a similar hp product? preferably from noel leemings...for a price under $600

it doesnt have to have the phone on it..its just handy for people who come around sometimes...but no phone is ok :) as long its got printer, fax, scan and copy

Canon Multifunction Bubblejet Fax - Windows XP Compatibility?
I am considering updating my PC to Windows XP. Will my Canon Multifunction Bubblejet Fax be compatible?
Updates are available for Windows XP compatibility for the MultiPass C70, C75 and C100 models only. Certain limitations apply to the operation of these devices under the Windows XP environment.

Please click HERE for additional information. (This information will open in a separate window)

Please consult our Driver Downloads section to download the software update for your model.

Special notice: Operation in Windows XP can only be guaranteed in a "clean install" or preloaded XP environment. Systems that have been upgraded to Windows XP "over the top" of a previous Windows version without a reformat, are not supported, and may not function correctly.

Models prior to the C70: (Includes the C20, C30 and C50)

These models can be used without a PC as a standalone plain paper fax, and in addition, by connecting to a compatible PC running Windows 95,98 or ME, can be used as a colour printer and scanner (mono or colour depending on model).

The PC capabilities of these models are not compatible with Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Microsoft has stipulated strict certification criteria for the design of hardware and device drivers in order to be Windows XP compatible. Windows XP is not necessarily backwardly compatible in terms of software applications, hardware devices, and device driver software. Upgrading to Windows XP may require upgrades to some of the other software and hardware items being used with the system. It is strongly recommended that users consult the Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Listing prior to changing their operating system. This service is available at the following URL: http://www.microsoft.com/hcl/default.asp

Whilst every effort is made to anticipate future directions of operating system design, it is not possible to guarantee compatibility of hardware and associated software drivers with unreleased future operating systems.

The MPC20, MPC30 and MPC50 models were designed some time before the design criteria for Windows XP became available.

here are some links as well..to compatiablity pages and stuff (under each link will explain what it has)
what happens if install on xp etc...

the drivers etc for it...its a massive download...but i can have internet on 24/7 so should be ok..will worry if i require to...

covers all the technical stuff/support that canon has for mpc100...

let me know if its still good to get for a winxphome enviroment...

UNLESS...you find something similar or better...with the xphome compatitablity...for a price less than $600 and can be purchased from Noel Leemings...

After reading that, my impressions have been reinforced.
Its likely to be a real problem under XP, steer clear of it. Its older technology.
