Hi- I'm running XP & I create several quotes in my work using Word. When I list these I want to print just the headings (ie Client name & date of quote)
How can I print this without the whole document printing?

Not enough info to determine your actual needs.

If you open the document and highlight the section you want to print, then File - Print - Selection will only print the area of each document highlighted.

But I have a feeling you do not want to open the document at all, just print the list of filenames and dates?

Godfather-Yes just need to print a list of quotes for the month-that
is just the names & dates-not the whole document which I have a hard copy of anyway

I think you need to run a VBA(Macro) to do what you want.

You seem to only need to print-out the directory listing from file explorer?

There should be third party solutions for this, freeware/shareware etc.

I think Datacadman has the names and quotes within a word doc, rather than a list of files. The first solution of just selecting what you want to print may be best.

Alternatively you could use a mail merge type scenario where the source data is in Excel and filtered to the name you want then merge to a document which is printed. Also a macro can do this but both these options seems a lot of work for something like this.
