Ms have just made some e-books free to download....big deal ya say?...my thoughts exactly, but on taking a look i discovered one of the books on offer is A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson,a book i had been meaning to purchase.

excellent, although you have to go through a retarded set-up process, and the ms reader program is an utter disgrace.

And you can't beat a real (paper) book, can you?

I've had a fair number of the books from the Gutenberg project (which are all free). Some of them are real classics ... I've got some of the early history of ballooning and aircraft, two volumes of Antarctic exploring (by Amundsen), and many other long out of print ones ... but if I can get it in paper, I much prefer that.
