I've got Javascript enabled in Opera 6.01 but the "enable java' box, even though ticked, is all ghosted. When I look in plug-ins there's no Java. I am not entirely clued up on the differences between all these kinds of coffee but I guess if I want the browser to be "java equipped" I have to go get a plug from somewhere (can do that OK).

My simple question is, is this right?

TIA m:Dc

Come on it can't be that dim it doesn't warrant the simplest response.

java and javascript are to different things.

go download java from here (http://java.sun.com/getjava/). install it and it will automaticly install the java plugin.

btw if your going to keep to opera6 i would go get the last of the 6 line (6.05 i think) due to the bugs/sicurity faults that are in the early 6's.

Thanks a meg tweak'e. I have done that and it's installed.

(Er bit puzzled why it doesn't show in Opera but will figure that out.)

As for the the version of Opera well I'm waiting for 7.0 to come out on a PC World disc :-)

Thanks for your help m:Dc
